Abstract

662,151. Agricultural implements. FORD MOTOR CO., Ltd., BYWATER, J. E., and HALE, R. F. Nov. 21, 1949. [Jan. 24, 1949] No. 1911/49. Class 6(i). A mounting for forward carried implements upon a tractor comprises an upper link 1 of triangulated form pivoted upon brackets 2b which are seated both laterally and vertically upon a ledge 3 extending across the front of the tractor and joined by a bar 2a resting on the ledge. Lower links 8 are pivoted on pins 7 mounted on the brackets 2b. Each bracket 2b is secured by means of a pin 9 to a second bracket 4 fixed on the side rail 5 of the tractor. The linkage is lifted by means of hydraulic jacks 6. Alternatively the linkage may be lifted by means of push rods actuated from a hydraulic lift mechanism situated at the rear of the tractor. An implement for attachment to the mounting may be provided with a reversible superstructure in order that it may be used on links mounted on the rear of the tractor.
