Abstract

661,959. Filing papers. TRADE LOOSE LEAF CO., Ltd., and JARMAN, G. O. Jan. 12, 1950 [Jan. 14, 1949], No. 1052/49. Classes 16 and 146 (i). A suspension filing device comprises folders each having one edge supported by a suspension bar for sliding on guide rails and a free edge adapted for engagement over the suspension bar of the next adjacent folder, and clips for joining together adjacent folders, each clip being formed of substantially inverted channel section and being releasably engageable over the suspension bar supporting one edge and the free edge of the adjacent folder so as to clamp the two folders together. Each folder has one side 10 secured, as bv stitching 13, to a suspension bar 12 and the other side 11 is folded at 16 to provide a flange 17 to fit over the next bar 12. A further fold 18 may be provided to give an alternative size folder. Each clip 19 has its edges 20 turned slightly inwards and indentations 21 are provided to grip the folder edges. The end 22 of the clip is recessed to fit over the hooked end 14 of the suspension bar 12. Tabs.-Covers for index strips may comprise short transparent inverted channel section lengths with inturned edges to fit over the clips 19.
