623,135. Stays for hinged articles. ATLAS BRASS FOUNDRY (BIRMINGHAM), Ltd., and TURNER, S. C. April 18, 1947, No. 10309. [Class 65 (i)] A window &c. stay in which the stay bar 1 slides in a pivotally mounted guide 2 and is pressed into locking engagement with a projection on the bottom of the guide by means of a spring- pressed plunger 7 mounted in the top wall of the guide, the projection being adapted to engage any one of a number of recesses in the bar, is characterised in that the projection comprises the head 5 of a rivet 6 pivotally connecting the guide to a mounting plate 3 fixed to the window frame.
