Abstract

653,739. Mounting bobbins on spindles. AKT.-GES. J. J. RIETER, & CIE. Sept. 8, 1947, No. 24686 Convention date, Sept. 7, 1946. '[Class 120 (ii)] A device for mounting and coupling a tube or bobbin on a textile spindle by means of a system movable transversely with respect to the spindle and comprising several spring- loaded coupling- members is characterized by three coupling -members symmetrically arranged circumferentially, and two springs, preferably leaf springs, abutting on each coupling - member, said springs connecting each coupling-member with the other two without coming into contact with the spindle. As shown, two thimbles, 3 and 4, housing the coupling members 8 are mounted on the spindle 2 with a sleeve 7 between them. The coupling-members 8 are pressed by means of leaf springs 10, which interconnect the coupling members, through slots in the thimbles so that abutments 11 are normally bearing on the inner surface of the thimble. When a tube is mounted on the spindle the coupling members 8 are pressed inwards and the springs 10 then maintain frictional contact between the coupling members 8 and the tube.
