650,362. Bowden mechanism. DESIGN & DEVELOPMENTS, Ltd., and FROGGATT, R. E. Oct. 28, 1948, No. 27994. [Class 80(iii)] A lubricating device for a Bowden cable comprises a coupling member g, into which two ends of the outer sheath b of the cable are screwed. A hole d is provided for the reception of lubricant and is adapted to be closed by sleeve members a, a<SP>1</SP> screwed onto the member g. In a modified arrangement one of the sleeves a, a<SP>1</SP> is integral with the member g which projects as a spigot for engagement by the other sleeve. In another arrangement the member g has extensions of smaller diameter over which the ends of the cable sheath are threaded.
