Abstract
646,126. Reciprocating motors. ODSTRICIL, B. July 2, 1946, No. 19709. [Class 35] [Also in Group XIV] In an electric dry-shaver provided with a vibratory electric motor, the vibration of the motor is reduced, the motor being free to swing in both directions around a pivotal axis near the end of the motor remote from the head of the shaver. As shown, the core 2 carrying the energizing coil 3 is pivoted at 10 on the casing 6, the pivot being located at that point of the motor which would oscillate with minimum amplitude if the motor were allowed to swing freely. The vibrations of the core are damped by soft rubber cushions 7, 8. In a modification elastic support for the core and for the armature is provided by a spring secured to those parts and to the casing. In a further modification the pivot 10 is replaced by an elastic element such as the rubber cushion 11.
