643,435. Cylinder liners. NORTON CO. Nov. 3, 1948, No. 28540. Convention date, April 24. [Class 122(i)] A cylinder liner comprises a sleeve 2 of metal shrunk on to an inner lining 1 of at least 75 per cent by weight of refractory non-metallic material of hardness at least 7 on Moh's scale. The sleeve 2 may be provided with a flange 3 and the lining 1 may comprise a plurality of coaxial parts of equal diameter and in end to end contact.
