642,831. Cigarette packets. GAGG, J., and MOLINS MACHINE CO., Ltd. Dec. 16, 1947, No. 33145. [Class 18] A cigarette packet or box, e.g. of the drawer and shell type, has a liner 1 with a slit 2 adjacent one edge, or two parallel slits near the centre, extending along the top, back and bottom portions and partly along the front portion to provide a strip 4 that can be raised to separate one or two cigarettes from the remainder in the packet. The slit end of the liner, which is arranged to cover the tops of the cigarettes, may be extended to overlap the other end. Specification 412,655 is referred to.
