638,859. Brake levers for cycles &c. PHILLIPS & CO., Ltd., J. A., and WINSPER, T. July 23, 1948, No. 19707. [Class 136 (i)] In a cycle or like brake lever mounting including a separable band clip, the bracket is pressed from a blank 10 having cut-outs 14, 15, 16 in its upper edge to form seatings on a handlebar and for a band clip 17, the clip clamping screw 26 taking its abutment within the bracket on a block 20 which engages apertures 18, 19 in the sides of the bracket and the pivot 29 of the lever 24. being arranged in embossments within the bracket. Fig. 1 shows the blank from which the hollow bracket is made.
