633,291. Hair-curling appliances. LEWIS, L. Feb. 17, 1948, No. 4661. [Class 131] A hair-curling appliance comprises a curlforming head of circular X-section and parallel or slightly tapering sides fitted to one end of a body portion formed as a comb with a hair parting point. As shown one, f<SP>1</SP>, of a number of interchangeable curl-forming heads of different sizes and formed with peripheral resilient fingers l is screwed to a plug e on the tapered neck d of the body a which is provided with comb teeth c and a hair parting point b serving as a manipulating handle. In a modification, the curlforming head comprises a central rod with a number of radial fins.
