[Classes 25 and 137] A roof ventilator comprises a pair of oppositely mounted dampers 7, 7a, pivoted on a supporting structure 1 above an opening 3 for movement about a horizontal axis intermediate their top and bottom longitudinal edges, so that in their open position an unimpeded vertical air passage 10 is provided and when closed, as by their top edges abutting, additional outlets in the vertical side walls of the structure are uncovered to permit a lateral outflow of vitiated air. The dampers may consist of glazed frames and preferably comprise several sections ; they may be counterbalanced and have control cables operated manually or electrically.
