632,115. Return-tube steam boilers. KERFOOT, G. Dec. 18, 1947, No. 33431. [Class 123(ii)] In a double-pass boiler the smoke tubes 7 in the firs pass are disposed ver tically below or above the furnace flues and the return tube: 8 between the latter so that vertical separ ating baffles 6 only are required in the combustion chambe: at the outlet ends of said flues. In a modification the return tubes 8 are located between the outer vertical rows of the tubes 7 and the boiler shell.
