Abstract

631,286. Manure distributers. MASSEYHARRIS, Ltd., and LOUNT, A. M. Aug. 19, 1947, No. 22937. [Class 6(i)] The outer sections 2a, 2b of a seed or fertilizer distributer are pivoted to a central section 2 so as to move through 90‹ for transport purposes. Distributing discs 4 are driven by a shaft formed in three parts 6, 6a, 6b, which shafts have pinions 9 engaging pinions on the pivots 3 and are driven from the land-wheels through variablespeed gearing 14 which also drives agitators mounted in the hopper through shafts 19 and gears 18. The fore-part of the chassis 1 may be used for the transport of sacks of fertilizer or seed.
