[Class 81(ii)] A surgical truss or belt is so shaped that it rises from the frontal portion, carrying the pressure pads, to the hips and thence rises further to engage the wearer's back. In the form described a substantially rigid frontal portion, of steel or plastic and carrying an adjustable pad 6, rises over the hips, at 2, and continues upward to resilient arms 3 which engage the back. The arms 3 are preferably of steel or tempered plastic and are covered with leather, fabric or plastic material. If desired the arms 3 may be connected by a strap or catch or the back portion and arms may be formed in one piece detachably connected to the frontal portion.
