Abstract

627,385. Endless-chain conveyers. POWLEY & SONS, Ltd., R., and WRIGHT, H. Aug. 7, 1947, No. 21613. [Class 78 (i)] A conveyer for bottles and other articles comprises one or more steel roller chains A combined with detatchable metal slats B. Between the rollers a of adjacent links b extend downwardly the tails c of the T-shaped centre portions of aluminium bronze slats B, there being clearance between the tails and the rollers. Holes d are bored in the lower ends of the tails to accommodato split pins d<SP>1</SP> by which the slats are detatchably secured. The slats and chain are centralised between framework runners (not shown) by providing the under surfaces of the slats with parallel rails f having the chain lying between them.
