Abstract

626,361. Road-vehicle drivers' cabs. NEAVERSON, R. A. Dec. 23, 1946, No. 37646. [Class 108 (i)] The driver's cab of a vehicle is constructed from units which may be cast, pressed or moulded, comprising side panels 1,. 1a, each provided with a window aperture 12 and connected by a windscreen surround which may be one unit comprising members 15, 19, 20 divided vertically by member 21 or horizontally by a member not shown, and grooved to receive a windscreen panel, or may consist only of members 15, 19, grooving then being provided in panels 1, 1a. Alternatively, a separate framed windscreen may be provided. A door surround 23 may be attached to each member 19 and a bracket 25 secured to each side panel. Each door 10, 10a may be cast, pressed, moulded or fabricated, a roof 29 being similarly manufactured. Alternatively a forward roof extension may be provided on the rear body (not shown).
