623,762. Tables convertible to easels. NEVILLE, M., and JARVIS, F. E. Oct. 23, 1946, No. 31499. [Class 52 (iii) [Also in Group XV] A drawing board or table comprises a surface of transparent or translucent material mounted in a frame which is pivotally mounted upon a trestle and which has on its underside a casing or housing for one or more electric lamps to illuminate the surface. A sheet of glass 1, which is frosted or covered over with diffusive paper, is mounted in a frame 2 flush with its edges 3 which can be used for drawing pins or the like. The frame 2 is supported on crossed legs 4, 41 and 5, 51 which are pivoted about a common cross bar 6 and the height of the frame 2 is adjusted by pivoted bars 7, 71 and 8, 8<SP>1</SP> provided with holes 9 engaging projections on the legs. A casing 14 for light bulbs 13 or tubular fluorescent lamps is hinged to the frame 2 and has a light reflecting inner surface. The frame 2 and casing 14 can be angularly adjusted by a bar 11 hinged to the frame which has holes 12 for securing it to the leg 4<SP>1</SP>. An adjustable straight edge 15 and an instrument tray, pivoted near the table top, may be provided.
