Abstract

Thermoplastic ink for printing on the surface of pliable, elastic and thermoplastic materials such as polyvinyl chloride, which are thereafter exposed to heat so as to become plastic, whereby the ink penetrates the material (see Group XVI), comprises a dyed mixture of shellac and nitro-cellulose solution consisting by weight of 65 per cent shellac, 25 per cent nitro-cellulose and 10 per cent beeswax and dye, alcohol being used as a solvent, in proportion according to the required viscosity of the ink.
