[Class 100 (ii)] Indelible printed inscriptions or pictures are applied to viscose sponges or other artificial sponges or articles made from artificial sponge material by stencilling, a dye such as one of the compositions sold under the Registered Trade Mark " Rapidogene " being applied from a spray-gun, and the colours developed by an acid treatment, such as steaming in the presence of formic or acetic acid. For stencilling, simple masks, or the silk screen process, may be used.
