Abstract

622,498. Display boxes. SHIRLEY & CO., Ltd., R. L., and PARKS, N. C. VAUGHAN-. Nov. 14, 1946, No. 33827. [Class 18] A box of the drawer-and-shell type has a transverse flap or flaps in the top panel of the shell A which may be pressed inwardly to form an aperture or apertures for one or both ends of the drawer B, the drawer being supported on the shell in a display position. The flaps may have tabs secured to the bottom of the shell to form an inner supporting wall and an aperture may be adjacent the closed end of the shell, the latter supporting the drawer. In one form, the drawer is supported in a single aperture at an angle to the shell and has a lid which may be folded to provide a display card 22, a tab 20 on the lid engaging corner pieces 21 at one end of the drawer. In another form, the drawer may be folded about a medial crease 24 and both its ends held in apertures in the shell, a display card 26 being secured at the crease 24, which card in the non-displaying position folds down into the drawer. The closed end of the shell may slope at a similar angle to the displayed drawer.
