Abstract

476,574. Cardboard boxes. TRIGGS, W. W. (Kunstantalt Etzold & Kiessling Akt.- Ges.) June 8, 1936, No. 15948. [Class 18] A box is made from the blank shown in Fig. 1, the part a forming the bottom, parts b, c the outer face of the side wall, parts f, i<1>, the inner fan of the side wall and parts h being interlocked to hold the box erect. Flaps g, k lie along the bottom and flaps d, e are secured across the corners on the inside. The box then has the appearance shown in Fig. 3, bottom o having been attached and a frame m being shown as inserted in the body on which rests a lid shown in Fig. 4, the lid having on its upper surface a small collapsable box p which when erected serves as a handle. An alternative form of blank is shown in Fig. 6 the walls 2 being joined to the bottom by pieces 1 which fold downwardly from the bottom without tabs 3 being then secured to the sides. Tabs 5 are employed on the other side. Feet 7 are also provided, the box having the appearance shown in Fig. 7. A lid is formed from a sheet shown in Fig. 8 folded along the lines indicated to meet a small collapsable box 12 serving as handle.
