Abstract

621,137. Valves. STREADER, W. J., and TATE, A. E. June 5, 1946, No. 17133. [Class 135] In a lift valve applicable to hydraulic piston pumps and of the kind including a tubular perforate body 14, Fig. 1, and a closure head 15 connected by spaced ribs 16, the ribs are of rounded cross-section and the inner surface 21 of the head is of convex shape to minimize resistance to the flow of fluid through the spaces between the ribs. The inner edge 22 of the body may be of concave form. Fig. 3 shows a modified form of valve head.
