Abstract

620,903. Rotary pumps. DRION, G. M. Jan. 30, 1947, No. 2911. Convention date, Oct. 23, 1945. [Class 110(ii)] An inclined disc pump comprises a disc piston e having a conical rolling surface which has line contact with a casing surface h provided with suction and delivery ports. The latter are placed on each side of a dove-tail groove in the casing in which engages a rib n on the piston face. A ball g between the piston and the surface h may run on rubber rings. The piston is actuated by a cam c through a bearing d, and is driven by a shaft b. A diaphragm k, of rubber or metal which may be folded or plaited, is secured as shown. The surfaces of the piston and casing h may have teeth which mesh together. The boss of the piston may be extended to touch the inside of the cam c.
