Abstract

620,620. Mixing-machines. AKTIEBOLAGET BYGGFORBATTRING. Jan. 23, 1947, No. 2161. Convention date, Dec. 31, 1945. [Class 86] A concrete-mixer having a stationary drum with an open top and rotating bottom shovels 8 for mixing is characterized in that pressure springs 20 hold the shovels against the plane bottom of the drum. A plate 7 having a central cylindrical flange 17 is secured to the vertical driving shaft and the arms 9 of the shovels 8 are in bearings 11, 12 on the plate 7 and are bent so that the shovels 8 lie near the bottom of the drum. Horizontal portions of the arms 9 carry vertical cross-bars 15 through which bolts 16, secured to the flange 17, slide. A pressure spring 20 lies on each bolt between the cross-bar 15 and nuts 18 at the end of the bolt and urges the shovels into engagement with the drum. The nuts 18 enable the pressure of the shovels to be adjusted. The gearing of the machine consists of two motor car differentials. The driving shaft of the shovels is one output shaft of a differential gear, the other output shaft being locked, and the input shaft is connected to an output shaft of another differential, its partner being locked; the input shaft of this differential is connected to a motor.
