Abstract

620,203. Centrifugal honey extractors. TAYLOR, Ltd., E. H., and DAWSON, G. H. Jan. 8, 1947, No. 618. [Class 23] Frames 11, containing honey, rest on radial arms and each is held at the top by wire holders 18, hinged to brackets on a vertically-adjustable hub 16. The latter is secured to a shaft 5, driven through a freewheel 21. by means of a hand-wheel 24 and a belt drive 22. The whole rotor is supported from an upper bearing 6. A lower hub 10 may be adjustable on the shaft 5. Honey extracted is flung against the wall 1 and drained from a sloping floor 2 through a tap 3.
