[Class 52 (v)] A stair-rod securing device comprises a bracket 7 with an obliquely disposed resilient arm 9 apertured to receive a stud 5 on a detachable stairrod 1. Alternatively the arm 9 may carry the stud, the counterpart fitting being in each case slidably mounted on the rod. Upward flexure of the arm, after the rod has been applied, causes the edges of the aperture 13 to bind on the stud. The device may be used at one end only, the other end of the rod having a key-hole slot fastening.
