Abstract

618,119. Bourdon gauges; indicating-apparatus. HARCOURT, Ltd., D., and MANN, A. J. Oct. 22, 1946, No. 31340. [Classes 106 (ii) and 106 (iv)] In a Bourdon pressure gauge having the transmission mechanism mounted on a rotatable table c, the table has a toothed portion on its periphery in engagement with a pinion j by means of which a zero adjustment may be effected from the rear of the gauge. The Bourdon tube b is carried by a support a in which are rotatably mounted the table c and the pinion whose arbor is slotted or otherwise adapted to be adjusted. The table can be clamped by a plate o which is operated by a screw p from the rear of the gauge or from the inside, in which case the plate is adjusted in manufacture to prevent accidental movement of the table but to permit adjustment by means of the pinion j. The casing m is screwed to the support a and has a hole or holes to receive or give access to the arbor of the pinion j and, if necessary, to the screw p.
