Abstract

617,762. Collectors. SHAND, G., BLETCHER, T. J. and METROPOLITANVICKERS ELECTRICAL CO., Ltd. Nov. 6, 1946, No. 32983. [Class 38 (i)] A slip-ring assembly consists of metal contact rings 1 and insulating rings 5 mounted on a central stem. The rings are provided with circular rows of holes 2, 6 and each insulating ring is provided with a stepped flange 9, 10 surrounding the central opening and on each side with a projecting pin or spigot 8 which engages in a hole in the adjacent metal ring. The part 9 of the flange passes through the central opening of the adjacent metal ring, the part 10 entering a recess in the following insulating ring. A conductor 12 is secured in one of the holes in each metal ring and passes through the holes in the rings below it.
