[Classes 65 (i) and 65 (ii)] A window stay is formed of a pressing a of inverted channel section with the edges b of the channel bent inwards to prevent the stay from being lifted off a collared pin d, which engages with a series of holes e in the base of the channel to hold the window in the required position, except where the channel edges are cut away at n. An abutment m pressed out of the base of the channel prevents the stay from sliding off the pin d. The stay is attached to the window by a joint comprising substantially hemi-spherical engaging parts f, g, with a pin p passing through a slot in the part f.
