[Class 39 (iii)] [Also in Group XIV] An electrically-heated knife for uncapping comb honey comprises a blade 1 of electrically conducting material which serves as an electrical heating element. The blade 1 has a central slot 3 forming two prongs 2 which are secured in a handle of insulating material, constructed in two symmetrical parts 7. Lead in wires 5 from a low voltage supply enter holes 4 drilled in each prong. The handle may be of conducting material, and insulated from the prongs.
