Abstract

798,206. Low temperature electric heaters. SIMON, J. C. July 26, 1956, No. 23169/56. Class 39(3) An electric heater comprises a plate of synthetic plastic material, e.g. of vinyl compounds or acrylic compounds, having in its interior a plurality of orifices accommodating a plurality of parallel conductors which extend from one edge of the plate to the opposite edge and which are connected together at their ends where they are insulated by removable edge strips. As shown, a plate 10, formed by the superposition of two sheets of plastic material, has orifices 17 carrying coductors 11a to 11f extending from edge 18 to edge 19. Connections 12 unite the conductor ends and are covered by removable insulating strips 20 and 21. The orifices may be constituted by grooves formed in the inner face. of one or each sheet, Figs. 2a and 2b (not shown). In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the insulating strips are removably located in grooves in the edges of the plate.
