Abstract

614,892. Electromagnetic relays. WESTERN ELECTRIC CO., Inc. Aug. 12, 1946, No. 23857. Convention date, Sept. 7, 1945. [Class 38 (v)] The spring contacts 41 of a relay are actuated by a projection 42 on a lever 26 which is pivoted at the rear end of the relay, the lever being actuated by a projection 45 on an extension 11 of the armature 8. Two piles of springs situated side by side on the top of the coil may be. actuated by two separate levers which are actuated by two separate extensions of the armature at the two sides of the coil. The gap between the armature 8 and core 2 may be adjusted by bending the portions 20 of a bracket 14 which is bent over the armature pin 7 as shown at 17. The bendable portions 20 engage under the extensions 11 of the armature.
