Abstract

613,221. Lubricators. TECALEMIT, Ltd., and LE CLAIR, C. C. S. June 6, 1946, No. 17273. [Class 12 (iii)] A lubricator comprises an atomiser supplying a mist of atomised oil under pressure to a hollow body having an inlet for the atomised oil under pressure, one or more outlets for the atomised oil and a discharge control valve element actuated intermittently by a moving member of a machine to be lubricated, e.g. a chain conveyer or by a vehicle travelling on a fixed track such as a colliery tub. As shown, a chain conveyer is lubricated by a spray of atomised oil at each operation of a pivoted lever 13 by the rollers of the conveyer. The lever actuates a plunger 12 to open a spring- pressed ball valve 9, whereby atomised oil, which may be supplied from a device as described in Specification 512,816, [Group XXIX], connected at an inlet 11, can pass to one or more discharge nozzles 23 directing the oil spray to the various required points using flexible hose if necessary.
