613,157. Mooring flying boats. SAUNDERSROE, Ltd., and GOUGE, A. June 13, 1946, Nos. 17738/46 and 7863/47. [Class 4] Apparatus for mooring a flying boat comprises a dock 10 to receive the boat and a cable 13 which can be engaged by the boat between supporting marker buoys 20, 21 and is led from a winch 16 on the dock to a pulley on a buoy 18 at a distance from the dock and returned submerged to another winch 19 on the dock, winch 16 being used to wind up the cable with the boat engaged and lead the boat into a bay 11 in the dock. Should cable 13 be moved out of line with the bay 11, warping cables 25, 26 passing through pulleys on buoys 29, 30 can be used by means of winches 33, 34 to realign the cable 13 with the bay.
