Abstract

612,768. Bearings. HODGSON, W., and STEEL, J. June 3, 1946, No. 16727. [Class 12(i)] In a spring-mounted bearing, one end 4 of a coiled spring 3 is secured to a vehicle shaft bushing 5 and the other end 7 to the housing 1. The ends 4, 7 are bent and received in slots 6, 8. The housing has flanges 9 for securing to the vehicle or frame and openings 10 for insertion of the spring. The invention is applicable to trucks, carts, trollies, wheel-barrows and castors.
