Abstract

607,142. Seats. MORRIS MOTORS, Ltd., and ISSIGONIS, A. A. Jan. 26, 1946, No. 2623. [Class 52(ii)] An adjustable seat for a vehicle comprises a rigid rectangular base frame 4 at each end of which is provided a single roller 5 or skid bearing directly on the floor or a part, such as a sill 2, associated with the floor, the underside of the base frame carrying at its median plane a member, such as the tubular sleeve 9, capable of sliding lengthwise along a co-operating member such as the tube 10, secured to the floor together with means for adjustably interlocking the relatively. slidable members such as a spring loaded catch 13, adapted to engage registering holes in the sleeve 9 and tube 10. A spring 16 is provided tending to urge the seat forwardly.
