[Class 12 (i)] [Also in Group XXXII] A sliding roof C of a vehicle carries on each side one or more ball bearings A rolling in a channelled guide B with retaining flange D and sufficient clearance to permit lateral sagging of the roof. A pivoted arm F carries another ball bearing H which is pulled into contact with the upper horizontal flange of the guide D by a spring J, whereby rattling is prevented. Recesses or slots K are provided to receive the bearing H to locate the sliding roof at intervals.
