599,447. Locking rods. AKTIEBOLAGET .ODELBERG & OLSON. June 12, 1945, No. 14901. Convention date, June 5, 1944. [Class 80(iii)] [Also in Group XIV] A locking device for a post 10 displaceable in a sleeve 12 comprises a projection 16 on the sleeve which is embraced by a handle 20 by means of a slot 26 the handle 20 having integral therewith a ring 18 surrounding the post 10. A leaf spring 30, mounted on the projection 16 and retained by an abutment 28, bears at its outer end against the underside of the handle 20. Depression of the handle 20 causes the ring to rise and release the post 10 for adjustment.
