597,942. Controlling furnace combustion. BRANDL, W. March 7, 1945, No. 5716. [Class 51 (i)] [Also in Group XIII] In a boiler for a central heating plant comprising a water jacket 2a heated by a furnace 2 which may be fired by solid, fluid or gaseous fuel, the supply of air to the furnace is varied in accordance with the water level in the hot water supply tank by connecting a float 27 therein through a cable 28 to the damper 26 which operates as a door to the ash receptacle.
