596,932. Domestic firegrates. DUNN, W. E. Aug. 4, 1945, No. 20114. [Class 126] A domestic water heater has a combustion space or solid fuel compartment surrounded by a water chamber and, at or near its upper end, is provided with two filling apertures or passages, one at or adjacent the front of the water heater, and the other at or adjacent the rear of the water heater, or at one side. The invention is shown applied to combined water heaters and open fireplaces of the type disclosed in Specifications 578,581 and 581,301, in which the water heater 1 is fed from the aperture 11 in one room 4 over the shoot-forming damper 10, or from the aperture 13 in another room 5 which may be heated by the boiler.
