Abstract

593,224. Mixing-machines. WOLSELEY SHEEP SHEARING MACHINE CO., Ltd., and MACNAMARA, H. J. July 9, 1945, No. 17407. [Class 86] A mixer for concrete or other material comprises a container 10, Fig. 2, surrounded by a toothed ring 12 having an outwardly extending annular web engaging grooved pulleys 17 supported in brackets 16 on an outer ring 15. The latter is affixed to brackets 20, 21 rotatably mounted on trunnions on a supporting frame, and the mixing drum may be tilted about the trunnions by the use of a handle 34. A shaft 27, Fig. 5, mounting a driving pulley 28, passes through one trunnion 24 and carries a pinion 29 engaging the teeth 14 of the ring 12, whereby the drum may be rotated. The tilting of the drum in either direction may be limited by the engagement of either of two lugs 35 with either of two removable stop pins carried by the adjacent supporting trunnion.
