Abstract
587,902. Hydraulic motors. LAPOINTE MACHINE TOOL CO., Ltd. (Lapointe Machine Tool Co.). Oct. 6, 1944, No. 19230. [Class 69 (ii)] A hydraulic motor in which the driven shaft 15 is attached to a rotor 22, having parallel cylinders 29, and pistons 50 connected by ball-ended connecting rods to a plate 52, carried by bearings 54, 63 on an inclined pin 55 secured to the casing. Bevel wheels 60, 65 on the plate 52 and rotor 22 mesh to ensure that both parts rotate at a uniform speed. The rotor is supported in the casing by bearings 25, 26 and each cylinder is connected by a port 30 with the circumference of the rotor. The casing has inlet and exhaust ports 34, 36 separated by renewable plates 40, 40a that abut the rotor. Openings 45, 48 are provided in the casing for the inlet and outlet of cooling liquid.
