Abstract
578,752. Casting concrete buildings in situ. JENNINGS, W. A. Oct. 25, 1943, No. 17557. [Class 20 (ii)] A panel for use in moulding concrete walls and the like consists of a marginally flanged sheet metal plate 10, having a grid 20 of reinforcing members secured to a face of the plate and diagonal members 32 extending from the grid to the corners of the plate, means being provided at the corners of the panel for connecting with the members which hold together panels spaced apart laterally when in use. The parts of the grid are preferably connected together and to the plate by welding, and the ends of the members 32, which may be integral with end members 30 of the grid are welded to corner fittings 16. Additional longitudinal reinforcing members 36 may be provided. The fittings 16 and associated plates 18 are adapted to be engaged by locking pins 40, which project through adjacent flanges to align the panels, and which also pass through holes in the tie rods 42. Clamps 38, embracing adjacent flanges, are used to hold the panels together.
