[Class 54] The roller spindle for a guide roller carriage is carried by one or more stems which slide in an adjustable element against spring pressure. As shown, the spindle 7 is carried by a stirrup 14 with a stem sliding in the hollow screwed sleeve 11, spring discs 13 being mounted on the stem between the sleeve 11 and stirrup 14. The spindle passes through slots 6 in frame members 2. In another form, each end of the spindle is supported by a stem similarly fitted with a spring and adjusting means.
