Abstract

567,484. Making paper, cellulose, &c. bags. ROBINSON, Ltd., E. S. & A., DAVIES, K. W., and ASHMAN, A. Oct. 11, 1943, No. 16619. [Class 94 (ii)] A bag is formed by applying a transverse strip of adhesive b to a web e, a longitudinal strip c of adhesive, and forming a tube, Fig. 3, which is cut into bag lengths. Two strips of adhesive g and h are then placed externally and transversely to the walls of the tube and the tube bottom folded over twice as shown in Fig. 6. The two strips g and h may be connected by short longitudinal strips of adhesive. The positioning of strips g and h may be varied from that shown in Fig. 4. The invention may be applied to flat or satchel bags.
