Abstract

564,982. Float - operated valves. ROBINSON BROS. CORK GROWERS, Ltd., and FOX, F. Nov. 1, 1943, No. 17993. [Class 135] A float - operated valve has a cork float eccentrically and revolubly attached to the valve arm or lever, means being provided for locking the float in position following adjustment thereof. As shown in the Figure, the float A is constructed of cork discs cemented and/or pegged together. A bolt B passed through an eccentric bore in the float has at one end an internally-threaded socket C adapted to screw on the end of the valve lever L and at the other end is threaded to receive a nut G adapted to bear on a washer F. In a modification, the socket C is formed on an internally-threaded member adapted to be engaged by a bolt with wing-head.
