Abstract

564,959. Bearings. CRAMP, B. E. June 23, 1943, No. 10102.. [Class 12 (i)] A ball bearing, such as for gravity conveyer rollers, comprises a stationary inner race 1, a ball retainer 3 and an outer race 2a having an outwardly extending flange 2 with a peripheral rim 4. The rim 4 may engage a similar rim 5, Fig. 2, on the retainer and be secured by pips. 6. The rim 5, or in the modification of Fig. 4, the rim 4 directly fits the roller tube. In the latter case, the retainer 3 has claws 9 engaging apertures in the disc-part 7 of the outer race. The flange 2 and retainer may also be secured together by rivets or spot welding.
