558,594. Concrete roads &c. CAWOOD, WHARTON & CO., Ltd., and FOULGER, F. July 8, 1942, No: 9498. [Class 20 (iv)] A joint and backing between bays of a concrete road or foundation consists of concrete slabs 2 with sandwiched or facing layers 3 of bituminous felt. The layers are joined by spigots 5 of concrete extending into holes in the felt. The faces of the slabs may be recessed, and holes may be provided for the reception of dowel bars connecting the bays.
