[Classes 69 (iii) and 135] A spraying device for applying paint, distemper, insecticides, or other liquids, comprising a sprmgclosed valve 4 arranged within a transverse housing and actuated by a spring-pressed plunger 8 and hand-lever 9, the housing being closed by a cap 6 is characterized by the provision of a reversible seating 3 for the valve and by an annular cage 7 with a shoulder 7a for retaining the valve within the housing when the cap 6 is removed.
