[Class 20 (i)] Arched ribs for portable buildings are formed of sections abutting at their ends where they are joined together by pivoted clips, slotted to engage bolts on the sections. In one form the sections 1 are formed with inclined abutting ends 2 and pivoted plates 3 are secured to the end of one of the abutting sections and are provided with slots 5, 7 to engage pins 6 and 8 respectively on the ends of the members. The plates are interconnected by tie members 13 which engage slots in the plates and are bolted to the plates. The sections are formed with grooves 19 to receive the edges of the wall and roof panels 20 and the end frame sections are also formed with inner grooves 15 to receive the edges of end wall panels 17 the lower edges of which rest in grooves 16 provided in floor members 10, the end panels being further supported by uprights 18 the ends of which interfit in the grooves provided in the base and arched members. A roofing light frame 21 may be fitted between the panels 20 and one end is provided with a groove 22 to engage over one of the tie rods 13. In another form the lower ends of the lowermost sections 1a are received in recesses in a wall 34 and are cemented therein and the edges of the wall and roof panels overlap and are secured to the tie rods 13 between the pivoted brackets by hook bolts 41.
